Make a conscious choice every day to do one specific act for the soldiers, families of the fallen, or the community, saying to yourself before each act, 'This is my part,' believing that every small action is important and causes change.

Set aside a short time each day (even if you are not religious) for reflection, prayer, or meditation for the soldiers and the situation, and immediately afterward perform one concrete action for them, understanding that prayer and action work together.

Identify where you are strong and can contribute (cooking, money, skills, time) and make that contribution regularly, recognizing that everyone is part of a larger chain and when one does their part, everything is strengthened.
